University Library collects, manages, and provides the latest academic information required to establish advanced studies in various fields. The center also operates its own multimedia network. Construction of a new building was completed in February 2002, enabling even further expansions of the Library's operations.
The Library houses basic texts for studies common to all Schools and Departments, as well as specialized books and journals related to advanced and interdisciplinary research fields. In addition to OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog) referencing of books and journals, the Library also offers a full-text database of academic theses.

- Promoting the transfer of scientific data and research information into digital formats.
- Establishment and operation of a multimedia network inside the university and effective use of scientific information networks.

The Multimedia System for Research and Education allows the exchange of scientific information using real-time images by connecting the inter-university research institutes distributed throughout Japan, which participate in the University program, with the university central administration office (Hayama campus) using a high-capacity communication line.
