Notice to Current Students
The Rinnai Scholarship Foundation has announced the recruitment of scholarship students for the 2026 academic year. Please note that this scholarship requires university recommendation.

Students who wish to apply should carefully read the application guidelines and submit the required documents to the designated graduate school office by the deadline specified by their department or course.

From this year, a new system has also been established to provide Research Grant Scholarships for doctoral students in the latter stage of their program.

🔗 Rinnai Scholarship Foundation – Grants Information

 
Overview
Eligibility: Students enrolled or advancing (as of April 2026) in a university or graduate school (Master’s or Doctoral programs) in Aichi Prefecture. Students exceeding the standard period of study are not eligible.
Scholarship Amount:

Master’s students: ¥120,000 per month
Doctoral students: ¥200,000 per month
Duration: From April 2026 until the minimum standard period of study.

For students in the first and second years of the five-year integrated doctoral program, support is provided for up to two years (until completion of the Master’s equivalent stage). Preferential measures are available for continuation upon advancement to the third year.
 
Research Grant Scholarship
Annual grant of ¥500,000 (paid at the beginning of the academic year), for up to three years (maximum ¥1,500,000).
Applicants must be planning to advance to the doctoral latter stage and have a confirmed research project (application submitted together with the monthly scholarship).
Eligible also from the second year of the doctoral latter stage (for current Rinnai scholarship recipients advancing to the second year, up to two years of support).
Awarded to applicants whose Research Grant Scholarship application, endorsed by the university, is approved by the selection committee.

Required for students planning to advance to the doctoral latter stage with a confirmed research project, or for current Rinnai scholarship recipients in the first year of the doctoral latter stage who wish to receive the Research Grant Scholarship from the second year onward.
