CEPD Seminar “Academic Career Seminar”

This seminar is for graduate students considering academic careers abroad after obtaining their Ph.D. We invite a speaker active in international academia to share what a global career path can look like. You will learn how early-career scientists can best prepare for success in a career.
This yearʼs speaker is Dr. Nadia Rabehi, who earned her Ph.D. in energy materials and surface sciences at OIST. After living in Japan during her Ph.D course, she has moved to France and is now a postdoctoral researcher at IM2NP (Institute of Materials, Microelectronics and Nanoscience of Provence). Her current research focuses on defects and deformation in crystalline silicon ingots used for photovoltaic applications, with the aim of improving industrial production processes.
Dr. Nadia Rabehi will talk about how she applied for positions in Europe, the selection process, the academic job market, and work-life balance in European Academia. OIST(Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University) students will also attend in lecture.
