Academic exchange agreement signed with The Arctic University of Norway (UiT)

On Thursday, November 7, 2019, Mariko Hasegawa, President of SOKENDAI, and Anne Husebekk, President of the Arctic University of Norway (UiT), signed the MOU of academic exchanges between the universities in the presence of the Minister of Research and Higher Education of Norway and the Norwegian Ambassador in Japan at the Norwegian Embassy in Japan.

Founded in 1968 in Tromso, northern Norway, UiT is the world's northernmost university and the center of international Arctic research.We expect that further exchanges will be promoted in the future, including an international joint degree program in which students from both universities conduct their research for academic dissertation under the guidance of researchers from both universities.
