  • Comment:
Thank you all NIJL and SOKENDAI professors for SOKENDAI award. My research life began by imitating the academic attitudes of seniors and professors. While acting like a researcher, I grew up as a researcher. All thanks to the guidance of the professors and the generous support of the seniors, I received the SOKENDAI award. I really feel unbelievable. I am grateful to all the professors, seniors, students, and juniors, including my supervisor, Hiroshi Ochiai. In the future, I will continue to devote ourselves to further growth as a researcher who deserves the award.

  • Doctoral thesis: Star Formation Activity of Galaxies and its Relationship to Environment in Distant Universe
  • Comment:
It is my honor to receive the SOKENDAI award this time. I feel this is due solely to the guidance of my supervisors, as well as the support from SOKENDAI/NAOJ and my collaborators. My life at SOKENDAI was fulfilling, as I was able to conduct research using the Subaru telescope and other state-of-the-art telescopes at NAOJ, a major center for astronomical research in Japan. I will keep myself devoted to research as a researcher who graduated from SOKENDAI/NAOJ and a prize-winner of the SOKENDAI award.。

SUZUKI Yuta

  • Department: Materials Structure Science
  • Doctoral thesis: Crystal Structure Analysis and Visualization of Materials Space Using Machine Learning
  • Comment:
I am very honored to receive the SOKENDAI award. My research is an interdisciplinary study spanning materials science and information science, and I have been able to carry out my research with the support of my supervisor and many collaborators. The unique characteristics of SOKENDAI, which include top-tier national research institutes within the university, greatly helped me in this research through discussions with those in other departments and taking lectures. I will continue to work hard to realize my future vision of "Materials Research with Human, AI, and Robot Collaboration" which I established in my doctoral course, to live up to this award.
