Integrative Evolutionary Science

Research Center for Integrative Evolutionary Science

Overview

Integrated Evolutionary Science is a new academic field that seeks to understand the interactions and temporal dynamics of life, society, and information by comprehensively understanding the past and present, and by further aiming to predict the future. Through this approach, we seek not only to advance evolutionary biology but also to deepen our understanding of human nature and contribute to the solution of societal challenges. The Integrative Evolutionary Science Course, in collaboration with the Research Center for Integrative Evolutionary Science, cultivates researchers who build on a strong understanding of the past and present to develop future-oriented perspectives, and who will take leading roles in the next generation of this field through both deep expertise and a broad, interdisciplinary view.
This program consists of two programs: a five-year doctoral program for students with a bachelor's degree and a three-year doctoral program for students with a master's degree.
