Overview

‍We aim to foster a future generation of researchers who can objectively and quantitatively analyze the Japanese language based on data. To this end, we utilize the linguistic resources and research networks of the National Institute for Japanese Language and Linguistics (NINJAL) to cultivate the skills and abilities necessary to conduct linguistic analyses using new methods including theory-based investigation, experiments, fieldwork, social surveys, and computer simulations, in addition to conventional methods of analysis.
